Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement

I agree that the Corvette Club of Kansas City (CCKC) Chapter and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (hereinafter, the “RELEASED PARTIES”) shall not be liable or responsible for any injury to me (including paralysis or death) or damage to my property occurring during any Chapter activities or events. This included any acts or omissions occurring during the performance of the duties of the Released Parties, even where the damage or injury is caused by negligence (except willful neglect). I understand and agree that all members and their guests participate voluntarily and at their own risk in all Corvette Club of Kansas City (CCKC) activities and I assume all risks of injury and damage arising out of the conduct of such activities. I release and hold the “RELEASED PARTIES” harmless from any injury or loss to my person or property which may result from my participation in any activities and EVENT(S). I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS MEANS THAT I AGREE NOT TO SUE THE “RELEASED PARTIES” FOR ANY INJURY OR RESULTING DAMAGE TO MYSELF OR MY PROPERTY ARISING FROM, OR IN CONNECTION WITH, THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR CHAPTER DUTIES IN SPONSORING, PLANNING OR CONDUCTING SAID EVENT(S).

Assumption of the Risk and Waver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19:COVID-19 has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. The Corvette Club of Kansas City (CCKC) cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by my participation; and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. On my behalf, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after any participation in a Corvette Club of Kansas City (CCKC) event or meeting.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE, OR GUARANTEE BEING MADE TO ME AND INTEND MY SIGNATURE TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.
