Super Bowl Party
February 1, 2015 by Jim Cahill
On a cold snowy day, approximately 50 CCKC members and guests attended the annual Super Bowl party at Coach’s Bar and Grill in Overland Park. It was a lively group with conversations carrying on during the entire game. A few club members wore their favorite NFL jersey to show team support. Everyone had fun and majority of the football fans were pulling for the New England Patriots who won the game on a goal line interception of what could have been the game winning touchdown throw. Most of the Seattle fans including myself questioned the call when you have Marshall Lynch in the backfield on the one yard line. We all enjoyed the super bowl commercials and the half time entertainment performance by Kathy Perry.
The end of each quarter score game pot was sweetened by an extra donation from Fred Bybee. Overall three couples were lucky winners and even Richard won on the square he purchased. The secret of the game is to leave at halftime as the 3rd and 4th quarter lucky score winners had already left. I appreciate the great turnout from the club members making the event another success.
